The hyphens are also removed from the "Quit Hide and Seek" text, and the "+" command is changed to a "-". In the Hide and Seek challenges, the opening message and banner is changed to "Find Pixel Toad and touch him!".If one looks closely, the background color of the banners for controller instructions has the 'dotted pattern' removed, making it solid-colored.The lives and coin counters have 'drop shadow' effects removed.However, this is still present in the 3DS version which has the microphone feature as well. Due to the lack of the "microphone" feature from the Switch's hardware and features, Lifts replace the Propeller Platforms the latter of which required the player to blow into the Wii U GamePad for them to interact.In a later update, the player can now play as an additional Toad, called Purple Captain Toad. The second player can team up by shooting turnips to assist the player. The Switch version has local multiplayer up to 2 players.In addition, the overall color value has also seen improvement. The maximum image quality has been improved to 1080p (docked).In that aspect, a lever wheel appears on the screen and interacts with the player.
